Apple is one of the top phone companies worldwide. Most people trusted them with their very good quality and safety of their products. But this latest news might discourage some Apple loyalists to purchase iPhone this Christmas season as a gift.
It was reported that an iPhone 4 of one of the passengers of Australian flight Regional Express ZL319 had exploded while in the middle of the flight. According to the statement of the Regional Express, one of their flight attendant noticed that the said iPhone was suddently creating amount of densed smoke with a red glow. As a standard safety protocol of Regional Express when in the middle of the flight, the said flight attendant immediately extinguished the iPhone 4 that starting to create a red glow and successfully controled the situation.
After landing, the iPhone was turned over to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau. As of this time, the said Bureau didn't yet submit an official report regarding the caused of the iPhone explosion.
As we can still recall, there were previously reported about the Apple products explosion due to lithium ion batteries overheating. Those incidents were reported way back 2009 in United Kingdom, Holland, France and Sweden.
As of today, Apple is encouraging to stop using the first generation of iPod Nano that were purchased between September 2005 and December 2006 for its battery will overheat and pose a safety risk, according to the Apple company.
